Festival Gardens, Liverpool

Here JMJ celebrates the Festival Gardens of Liverpool. Created between Priory Woods and Otterspool Promenade, in 1984, Liverpool's Dingle area played host to the UK's only International Garden Festival. Between 1985 and 1988, the site was re-named Festival Gardens. 22yrs later, the remaining gardens were cleared and work began to reconstruct the Japanese Garden, the Chinese Garden and the waterways.
